Grins and Giggles

We made it back to Atlanta last night.  When we walked through the door I had mixed emotions about being "Home Sweet Home," as we now have an 8 hour drive separating us once again from our hometown.  We had a very memorable time in Florida as we soaked up the sun and spent some time with family and friends...at least Brody and I had a nice time, I should say.  Sadly, Jonathan had to work all week.

I sat down tonight to sort through the hundreds of photos I took of our much too short vacation.  I was planning on posting a recap of the entire week when I found myself giggling over a group of pictures taken Saturday as Brody played with his cousin Ava at Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's house.  So, I nixed the recap post (at least for tonight) and decided to share a little "giggle" with all of you.

This was the first time Brody and Ava have really ever played together, since in previous visits they were too young to care much about each other.  I'm pretty sure they are buddies for life now after spending only a few short hours with each other.  The giggles said it all.

I hope these pictures bring a giggle to you too...or at least a grin.  :)

What did they do together?
They played together on the dock as their daddies went sailing on the river.

They walked down the lane, gibbering to each other about things only the two of them could tell you.

They splashed in puddles as we tried not to worry so much about the mess they were creating.

They fearlessly flew through the sky as Uncle Jeremiah (Ava's Daddy) yelled "Skadoosh!"

They squirted water guns almost as big as them and re-played the "Skadoosh" game in the pool.

But no matter what they were doing, you can be sure they were doing one very important thing together...giggling!

And that, my friends, is the secret to a forever friendship.

And who knows...maybe one day they will let little Audrey tag along.
Ava's sister, Audrey

If you didn't get enough of the cuteness, check out my SIL's blog over at Life As This Mommy Knows It.  Breena is Ava and Audrey's mommy...along with being a talented, self-taught photographer.  She is still on vacation in Florida as I write this post, but I'm sure she will be posting her amazing photos from the cousins' reunion once she returns home.  If you are looking for photography tips, check her out!
