Hi everyone! I'm Lauren and I'm thrilled you stopped by Happily Mother After!  

This is me with my husband {Jonathan} and my little man {Brody}

I created Happily Mother After in an effort to jot down the day-to-day experiences in our little family that I didn't want to forget.  My hubby and I are notoriously known by our friends and family for our unbelievably awful memories.  And now that I'm pregnant with our second child, my brain has turned to an even mushier mess!  Without this blog to help us remember, we might soon forget that we even know each other. {Not really, but our memories truly are more like a 70-something year old than a 20-something year old...pathetic, I know.}

Over time, my blog developed into slightly more than a memoir.  I began challenging myself and my love of photography by creating a weekly photo link party, Oh Snap!shots of the Week.  Every Friday, many bloggers and friends link up their favorite photos from the previous week.  I have been so inspired by their creativity and passion for photography, and I've even learned some awesome tips for taking better photos.

Besides posting numerous snapshots and stories of my silly little man, I love to blog about the occasional crafts I complete.  Last Christmas, I hosted the 12 Crafty Days of Christmas which featured some of my original crafts as well as crafts made by some of my favorite creative bloggers.  But, as much as I love crafting, I love getting creative for my son's birthday parties even more.  That's why I recently added an ongoing Birthday Party Linky where anyone can link up their child's birthday party and show-off their skills to help inspire others.
